I figured out one of the things I can blog about - The Bayport Bubble. The Bayport Bubble is what I call my hometown of Bayport, New York. Once you are here you cannot leave and if you do leave you always want to come back. Bayport is on the south shore of Long Island. Stay tune for more info on The Bayport Bubble.

Whiskey Ed Says - Don't Drink The Water!
I have been signing up to receive emails from stores I usually shop at - even very local ones now have web sites. I go to Houdek's Spirit Shop since it is in the Bayport Bubble. I still call it Whiskey Ed's - what it was called when I was growing up - I think. There use to be a sign up front with a little boy peeing into a pond that said "Whiskey Ed says Don't Drink The Water".
The last time I was there, I noticed they had an email sign up at the register and I signed up. They emailed me a 10% off coupon. Then yesterday afternoon I checked my emails and there was one from Houdek's that said they were having a free wine tasting that day. Aunt Nette and Aunt Stevie said they would go with me. I needed to go anyways because of an Absolute Pear coupon I had. So we went and sampled some delicious wines from Osprey's Dominion in Peconic. Yum!

Monsters vs Aliens
We went to see this movie and it was great - for kids and adults. So after the movie the kids wanted to go to McDonalds to get Happy Meals with the Monsters vs Aliens toys. I kept putting them off and we finally went today to find out yesterday was the last day of that promotion. AHHHH!!!! So I am on e-Bay right now searching for Monsters vs Aliens McDonald toys. I am feeling bad cause I promised them this for weeks. =)
Starting A Blog
Hello! I am starting my first public blog. I have a private one - but that is my own personal journal. Not sure how this is going to evolve - should be interesting. And hopefully I can find the time to blog. I have to go right now and pick up the kids so look for more posts coming soon. =)
